About the Science Fair

What are science and engineering fairs?
They are an organized exhibition of work done which follows specific rules and guidelines.  The students compete through their exhibits and demonstrations of projects to the judges and public.  The exhibit represents a chosen category: Biology, Chemistry, Environment, Mathematics, Engineering, and Physical Science.

Local classroom and school fairs are the first step in the pathway.  Top 3 exhibits may wish to participate in other fairs.  Consider each fair a challenge to improve your project under your teacher's supervision.

The following are web site contacts for the regional Science Fairs in Arizona.  These fairs award cash and trophies to many winners, we are also pleased to provide mentoring &/or advice regarding projects involving Biomedical Research.

Please contact SwAEBR and the fair in your area for more information.

The International Science and Engineering Fair (Regeneron ISEF), a program of Society for Science & the Public, and the world's largest international pre-college science competition, is coming to the Anaheim Convention Center!

The premier global science competition for students in grades 9–12 provides an annual forum for more than 1,500 high school students from 65 countries, regions, and territories to display their independent research. SSP is honored by Regeneron's commitment to this program .

Interested in being a general volunteer?

More than 500 volunteers across a spectrum of activities are needed. Volunteer opportunities are available during the week in a range of shifts. We encourage you to explore all of the volunteer opportunities and experience ISEF in your community. No scientific background required.

Interested in serving as an ISEF Judge?
For ISEF Judges are needed in 17 scientific disciplines across the sciences. Judges must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent (D.O., Ed.D., D.D.S., D.V.M., etc.) OR a minimum of six years related professional experience beyond receiving their B.A., B.S., or Master’s degree.

Contact us to learn more about volunteer opportunities at the Intel ISEF 2020 in Anaheim. Unfortunately, SSP is unable to provide financial compensation for travel or housing for volunteers.
